How much sleep are we supposed to get? Does it really make a difference? Can't I drink coffee to make up for it?

Research suggests that when we sleep, we are repairing and rejuvenating our brain structures (called the synaptic homeostasis hypothesis). When we don't, we make all kinds of thinking mistakes.
